Another Vida Dress finished

in Blog on October 12, 2007

I have been working feverishly all week on finishing Eliana’s Vida jumper. I like it – although it’s a little “springy” with flowers and butterflies. But we all need a little spring, even in the winter, right? It will be Eliana’s 2nd birthday tomorrow so I wanted to have it done for her second birthday party on Sunday. She looks precious in it but didn’t keep it on long enough for me to take photos. Maybe on Sunday. I used the new Clover yoyo makers to do the flowers with and I really like using them. Makes the process fun and quick.

One more Vida to go – for Rileigh. Each one of them has to look different. I can’t stand repetition. It’s hard enough to be using the same pattern. I think Rileigh’s will have a French “Oh-la-la” theme with an applique poodle. Although it’s definitely possible I will change my mind by the time I start sewing. I always do!:)

I recently have discovered another line of children’s sewing patterns: ROOS patterns. I have searched on the internet and they look just as wonderful as the Farbenmix patterns. Now I need to find somebody willing to send them to me from Europe. I LOVE sewing for my granddaughters. It’s such a wonderful creative outlet.

Fall seems to finally have arrived. Still not much rain in sight. And the garden and grass look very, very dry.

Got to go and clean house. Hope you like this Vida dress as much as I do.
