This project is completely stitched in the hoop; no additional hand or sewing machine stitching required. The background is quilted and the side borders are attached during the embroidery process. The cup/mug is appliqued. It’s easy to do; we will show you how. Don’t like cinnamon sticks with your coffee? Just skip that color in your stitchout and it will still look perfect.

Update!!! There are 5 stitch files in 2 different versions included in your download. One with “mom” or “mum”, both for dog as well as dogs. Another plain version is included that only has the quilting stitches but no center design.

Supplies Needed

• Fusible fleece, heavier weight like Pellon 971 F
• 3 contrasting/coordinating quality cotton fabrics
  • – one fabric for the front center
  • one for the wider borders and back
  • one for the thin contrast strips
• 1 small scrap of fabric for the mug
• Steam a Seam 2 or similar bonding product
• Painter’s, masking tape or medical paper tape
• Sharp, small, curved tip scissors
• Mini iron
• Stabilizer: Polymesh (woven, cutaway)
