This pillow is made as a partial in the hoop project. The front center background is stipple quilted and the contrast strips and borders are applied during the first hooping and the seams are finished on the sewing machine. The pillow can be stitched with a Velcro closure in the back. This requires a second hooping. If no Velcro closure is desired, the pillow can also be completed with a simple one piece back with closure accomplished by fusing or hand stitching a bottom opening shut. Both options are given in the instructions and a second stitch file for the Velcro closure is included in your purchase. A small amount of machine stitching is required to finish the border seams and stitch together the front and back of the pillow.
