Just as I thought I was all done and ready to post the garden alphabet for sale, I realized that I had not gotten permission from the font’s author. The add on designs are all okay – I purchased the right to digitize those, but the font was a free font and for some reason it never occurred to me that I needed to get permission for free fonts, too. Well, guess what, the permission was not granted. It’s a font that American Greetings has the copyright to and does not allow to be used for commercial purposes. So, back to the drawing board – oh, what frustration, all caused by my own negligence.
I am very pleased to say that after some searching, I have bought a very comparable script and I have redigitized all the lettering, after first getting permission from the author of the script to use it for commercial purposes. I now have to retest all those 26 designs …. It’s going to take me a while longer. I am posting a couple more photos so you know what you are waiting for. I will try to get the stitching done as fast as I can – but I am not willing to “skip” steps because I want you to know that I strive for excellence and quality. If you are one of those waiting for this font, I do apologize. When I finally wil have it all ready, I think you will be pleased.
Off to test stitch.

Oh, how frustrating for you but I think you have a very good substitute. Thanks for the extra time to be sure they all stitch out wonderfully. The samples look great. Love those.
Thank you, Vicki for your understanding. These really do stitch out beautifully and I actually think the new font is even nicer than the previous. In the end, it all will work out for the better, I think. Thanks for your comment – it calmed my somewhat frayed nerves! 🙂
