Have you been wondering what happened to me? I think our last few weeks could be summarized with the statement that “life happened”. It is with deep sorrow that I write about the death of my Father-in-Law, Earl P. Tocknell. Greatgrandpa was 91 yrs old when he died September 24th, surrounded by family members. Greatgrandpa suffered from metastatic bone cancer and was in much pain when he passed. We miss him dearly and it seems incomprehensible that he is not with us anymore. He has meant so much to our family. But we are thankful that he does not have to suffer anymore. A memorial service is scheduled for October 18th.
Around the same time our daughter Kristy announced that she would like to get married and we are planning her wedding for December 13th, 2008! And remember those renovations we were wanting to do on our house? … They, of course, still need doing.
I think you can see why there hasn’t been a whole lot posted on Oma’s lately. However, in my early morning hours when I wait for grandkids to wake up, I have been doing some digititzing and hope to have some new things up for you soon.
I am posting some photos so you can see what’s coming your way. My son is working on setting up a “design shop” section to my website where I hope to be selling some of these designs. I intend to be “reasonably” priced to help make this hobby affordable for many. I will continue to offer some free designs from time to time.
By the way, I enjoy the comments made by some of you visiting. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for writing. I also appreciate those of you who have shared photos of your projects. They are posted in the gallery. Any photos of projects you are proud of are welcome here. They do not have to be of projects with my designs only.
Have a great rest of the week.
Monika
We are praying for you strength and comfort during these difficult times. Our family has lost four members during the past nine months and know this is a difficult time.
Sincerely,
Linda
Monika,
I am sorry to hear of the loss to your family. I pray that you will experience God’s peace at this time.
And congratulations on the upcoming wedding.
Sounds like Greatgrandpa Tocknell left a Godly legacy and many cherished memories for your family. May God give you tender mercies to adjust to his absence. Weddings can be stressful but they don’t have to be. It’s all about the sacred ceremony – the rest is fluff. Will be praying for you through all of this and am proud of your “new web look” and your new “shop”.
God bless!
Diann
My deepest sympathy for the loss Great Grandpa Tocknell. He is home with the Father & I hope that will be your comfort at this time.
Congrats on the upcoming wedding. I can’t imagine planning one that quickly, but if anyone can do it, you can!!!
Love your new website & “shop” and LOVE your designs. have you in my favorites for sure!!!
Love,
Rae
