I have had sew much fun making another dress for S. It all started out with a pair of leggins I found at Gymboree on sale. These leggins had adorable little poodles on them and I had to find a way to put this together with a dress. I chose Farbenmix’ dress Henrika. What a wonderful pattern. For sure, it’s quite a bit of work, but so worth the effort. I had to change the pattern. I didn’t like the idea of buttons all the way down to the ruffle in the back. So I put a partial back zipper in and closed the seam the rest of the way. It turned out well and S. in particular LOVES the dress. She has thanked me multiple times and she can’t wait for Sunday to come so she can wear it to church!:) Puts a big smile on Grandma’s face. The poodle design was a free design from www.sewforum.com. I added some hearts (to match the hearts and poodles on the leggins) and also put together the “Oh-La-La” in Embird. It’s such a wonderful program. Don’t know that I could do the sewing I am without Embird. Let me know what you think. I always like to get your feedback.
I love the dress…I want to make one for my grandaugther….I can’t find the embroidery file…do you still have it?
Thanks
That particular poodle design was a free download from ??? I am so sorry but I don’t remember where I got it from. However, my Saarah’s poodle design would work very well for that. The dress itself is the Henrika pattern from Farbenmix. It’s an awesome pattern and I loved sewing it. I believe that the pattern is available through http://www.banberryplace.com. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of further help.
